The Trailaqua water filter is ideal for camping trips or in an emergency.
The filter has a membrane of 0.1 micrometers. The filter removes 99.9999% of bacteria in the water such as:
- Salmonella
- Cholera
- E. coli
- Protozoa (giardia and cryptosporidium)
- Listeria monocytogenes
- Pseudomonas aeruginosa
- Intestinal Enterococci
Fast water flow: If you filter with gravity, the flow is 500ml per minute. You can easily hang the bag in a tree. When you squeeze the bag you have a water flow of 1200ml per minute. This is one of the fastest filters on the market.
Viewing window: With the viewing window, you can see how contaminated your filter is on the inside. This way you can see if you need to backflush the filter. Most filters are completely closed so that you cannot view the inside of the filter.
Water bag: The filter also comes with a water bag. The bag has a capacity of 2 liters. With the handy opening, you can scoop water into the bag. Close the bag and screw the filter onto the bottom. Then you can hang the water bag and let the filter do its job. Screw a PET bottle to the bottom of the filter so that the clean water enters the bottle.
Screw ends: Screw ends are fitted to the filter. For example, you can screw the supplied water bag or any standard water bottle or soft drink bottle onto the ends. This is useful if you want to use gravity to filter. Coke bottles are compatible as shown in the product image.
Lightweight: The filter weighs only 75 grams. This is not much weight for a water filter. Ideal for a hike or as a backup.
350,000 liters filter capacity: The Trailaqua water filter has a capacity of 350,000 liters. We recommend that you always clean the filter after use according to the method in the manual. This way you can extend the life of your filter.
Tested in a laboratory: Our filters are tested in the SGS water laboratory in Antwerp (Belgium). A water sample is contaminated with: Escherichia coli, Intestinal enterococci, Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Then this polluted water is purified three times through the filters. The results came back negative.

I already have the sawyer squeeze, but the flow rate is very slow. This is very fast and you can also check the condition of the filter tubes inside the filter. The included bag is very convenient. You can screw a standard bottle on both sides and there will be extra seals more if you lose one.

I have had the TrailAqua Water Filter for one month and have to say that it fully meets my expectations. I have now used the filter several times while camping in nature. Previously I used a life straw, but then I really like the TrailAqua Water Filter.
The materials used for the TrailAqua Water Filter are strong and of good quality. What I really like is that the filter has a 2-liter water bag with a large opening. With a few scoops, it is full. You can screw a PET bottle onto the filter on both sides. For the side of the water bag (unfiltered side), this is, in principle not necessary, but very useful on the filtered side. This allows you to hang everything as a whole (water bag, filter, and PET bottle) on a branch without having to hold a bottle under it yourself, or to align a container you place on the ground with the water that flows from the filter.
The transparent viewing window in the filter is very useful. You can really see that the dirt has been rinsed out of the filter after flushing. The filter speed at which the water runs through the filter is very fine. This is actually what I primarily bought the filter for. This one is downright quick. Very clever that TrailAqua can achieve this speed with a 0.1 micron filter.
All in all very satisfied will have a lot of fun with it.

We have had a water filter between the water pipes at home for years. Until now, we always bought bottled water during our holidays (caravan). Clumsy, heavy, and expensive. So very happy with this filter. We especially like the 2-liter water bag and the fact that you can hang it up. The flow rate is almost as fast as the water filter at home. We are also very happy with that. We will also take it with us when we spend the night in a hotel, for example.
